I'm a MASSIVE music fan, so for me it's extremely important to have music at my fingertips when I'm browsing. Here are a couple of Firefox add-ons that give me complete in-browser control of my music as well as giving a couple of cool features.

Fire.fm (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/7684)
Fire.fm is an application that installs a small toolbar just below the URL bar. This toolbar acts as a kind of portable Last.fm client. Basically, you can type in an artist, tag, or last.fm username and it will then play a radio station based on that keyword. For example, type in 'Radiohead' and it will produce a radio station based on Radiohead and similar artists. It's brilliant for the discovery of new bands. Also, if you have a last.fm account you can connect to it, allowing you to 'Love' tracks that are playing in the toolbar. If you don't have a last.fm account, you can read how to set one up HERE (http://www.fleud.com/complete-last-fm-t406.html?t=406)

Foxytunes (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/219)
Foxytunes provides a simple service: It connects to your media player, allowing you to control it from within your browser. The toolbar can be put nicely at the bottom of the browser, so it doesnt take up much space. Extra features include the ability to bring up a 'factfile' page about the artist you are listening to, and the abilty to right-click and select Search for lyrics/tabs/chords/biography/discography/images... All these and more are availible at your fingertips ;)
