Yep, our site is almost finished, and now we just need to spread around our link and get more members... Also backlinks would be great!

Backlinks is: Link on other sites, pointing to our. So, if for example there is a link on d3scene, to fleud.com in a signature or whatever, google notices it, and puts us higher in google rank!

So do whatever you can to promote and make backlinks. I know this seems like a boring job, but if we really want success, we have to work for it! The first members here, which is you guys, will have a huge advantage later on, getting higher ranks. Trust me, we will get a LOT of ranks, which can be obtained by posting and contributing. I hope to see some of you guys putting a little effort into this, atleast i hope some of you does.

1000s of backlinks don't help the SEO very well. It has to be in context. One link on 5-10 pages of a dozen highly rated websites/blogs is a thousand times more valuable than one site with a thousand linkbacks in a page or two.

ahhh right ok. So they rate the backlinks on how good the quality of them is and not just quantity. Makes sense :P

well it is kinda both. But quality definitely matters.
Something that would help a little without work is to put the link in your sig here, and everywhere else.

and then you could go into dofollow and nofollow links. I do a lot of Seo stuff so i like to think i know what I am talking about.

Well this one is big for blog commenting.
Basically it is what it sounds like. If the blog is dofollow, that means the search engine follows it to your site. Sites have a PR also, which means pagerank, which is made by the big G.
the scale goes from n/a to 0-10
for example facebook is a 9.
For the blog commenting, you want to find a blog that is dofollow and has a PR.
I might make a topic about it.
