View Full Version : Pirate Party Wins Seat
Well, it seems that the Swedish Pirate party has won a seat in the European parliament. That's not swash-buckling seadogs though, they campaign for free file sharing on the internet.
Discuss- Is file-sharing important enough to be represented at a continental level? Is it even right?

I agree partly with the pirateparty's campaign.
I want web-anonymity like in our ISPs will not give out our information to e.g. the music indurty.
But I want to keep copyright, because else noone will produce anything anymore.

You stole my answer :p that's what I've been saying over Msn to many of you... The anonymity is fine, but if you delete the copyright, the whole world would go Chaos.
@sky_king yeah, but I don't think you can enforce copyright and have complete web anonymity otherwise ISP's wouldn't know who was breaking copyright laws! but I agree with you completely, damn shame its not possible (unless my logic is flawed) :/
