Eminem - Mariah Carey conflict

I don't know if you guys heard, but Eminem released a song called "Bagpipes from Baghdad" on his album called "Relapse", which was released around 1 month ago... In that song he called Mariah Carey a ●●●●● & cunt.

Then for a few days ago, Mariah Carey released a single called "Obsessed" from her upcomming album, which will be released in August. In the song she sang:

It must be the weed. It must be the E

...

Why you so obsessed with me (Boy I wanna know)
Lying that you're sexing me (when everybody knows)
She doesn't sing it's Eminem, that she is singing about, but it is clearly, as E has had Drug problems, as he also told on his album, Relapse.

This got me thinking, is this a real conflict? Is it just for fun?
Or is this just to put all the spotlight on them both?

Seriously, if you think about it, Eminem's album has hit over 1 million sells 4 weeks after it was released. Mariah Carey has also had much "Advertising" because of this :P

So, is this something they planned to hit sales, or is it a real conflict?

I'm not obsessed with him :P, I just like his music :D (I dunno if that was a joke, cuz' Mariah careys song is called Obsessed, but I think it was xD)
