Hey I was wondering whether some of you could help me out. I want to buy an xbox360 and definately with cod5 (an extra controller would be good too).
But yeh basically ive been search forEVER and am struggling to find a deal.
It needs to be new as I want the warranty so that if it breaks i can get it fixed for free!

I'm looking for it to be as cheap as possible, thats why im trying to find it in a deal ;) I'm in the UK so only UK products please :)

Xbox is better. It is, Seriously. Get 360. then you can play with me. But ya, your best bet would be ebay or something, or just go to the store. I dont really trust anywhere else.

What is better is merely your personal opinion, I will not be a Playstation fanboy here so I won't. But if you are going to buy a Xbox 360, do not buy the arcade version, it has 256mb harddrive and you will fill that really dast :P

- Go for the Elite if you like to play loads of games, and like to watch movies and play loads of demos
- Go for the Pro if you just would like to play the games as they are, and stick to fewer games.

But it from a local store, or from a known web-shop that you know you can trust.
And please do not let this thread end up in a fanboy-fight. There are plusses and minuses in each console, but everyone is different, so pick whichever suits you the most.

ya, i have had the pro version with the 30 hardrive for a couple of years and it just recently failed me for the first time, but it was no problem, I sent it in and got it back within 2 weeks and it was all paid for by them. Remember RROD will always be paid for by them. But ya, I am very happy with mine.

Yeh thats the reason I want it new for the warranty. I've heard that they can easily go wrong but can also get easily fixed too ;) Still looking for a decent deal though!! :(

Well im pretty sure, you dont need a warranty if you get the red ring of death.

yeh but i've heard of other problems coming up other that rrod. Like 2 of my close friends have xboxs and both of them have had to send them away to get repaired!!

With the red-rings of death, or whatever, microsoft cover that for FREE, as it's their own fault, so if you want a warrenty based on that, dont worry. COD5 isn't as good as people think it is, COD4 is much better online, but the story is shit, COD6 looks promising. It depends on you location really, play.com might have a deal on? Wait a few months and the christmas deals will be on :P

Fair engouth then, still get COD4/COD6 though :) I never really got into COD5, infact COD4 is probably the only game I play online now :P

I am so happy i have an xbox! I got the rrod like 3 monthes ago, sent it in and got it back in like 2 weeks, and they even gave me a free one month card for the trouble.
but anyway i cant wait for twitter and facebook AND last fm!

I just bought my first Xbox (Elite too) a few days ago, purely so I could play Halo 3 against my friends back home (just moved back to Uni).

I bought it from game...£200 for the console with 2 games worth £40...and then another £20 will get you an extra controller.

So yeah the games bit, I didn't want fight night or tiger woods which they were offering.
So what I did with the worker there, was I bought those games I didn't want, then I exchanged one of the £40 games for a £40 game I did want, and then got a preowned copy of Halo 3 and paid for that by exchanging/trading in the other game I didn't want originally.

Genius I know.

Imo, get Playstation, but it's just a question wether or not you want bluray.
If you want it, get ps3. If not, get xbox.
Also the fact that xbox live costs money.
