Sig Attempts - Advice Needed!

Hey guys here's my first 2 attempts at a sig I want to make for my mini :D I am very amateur at this whole gfx thing so any suggestions would be welcome and greatly appreciated!

ok well i decided to whack my hosting company logo in there :P

Also ararura.... i did add effects to the text xD obviously aren't that good/noticeable :P ( i couldn't really find a good one that worked well :S!)

I can say at once that the mini (that should be the focus in the picture) is blended into the sig. Try to make it come more forward the screen, make it scream "HERE I AM, LOOK AT ME!!!" :)

If you used gradient maps to get the color you have, then try to deselect the mini from the map, so it maintains its original color.

Apart from that, I like the sig :)
