Website Creation

Hey all!

I was wondering about starting up my own website. My friend makes fairly popular youtube videos, (has about 2k subscribers, gets 2-10k views on each vid) - So i thought that if we released his videos on our website a week before he released them on youtube, we could get a ton of viewers. The problem is, creating the website:
We dont have the cash to pay someone to do so
It's quite specific, so a template won't be much help
I haven't had much experience creating websites, so may struggle myself..

I may try to learn how to create websites.. it seems like a long road til i can make a decent one though.
If successful, we could sell advertising space on the site, and hopefully get a small but steady income from it.

What do you guys suggest I do? Do you think the idea could work?

Hey Cooleh, long time no see ;)

I'd suggest that you'd give the creator of your website 1 or 2 spaces for ads, that he will have "forever", that way more people would be interested. I'm only familiar with vB and AutoIt in coding, so can't really help you, but I might start some excecutive-C later on (iPhone apps). Anyway, when your site is up, we could make a deal (if you want to) Trade ads, I've got ads linking to your page, and likewise, you got ads linking to fleud :)
