Well, this is kind of a long story, but I'll make it short.
I have recently quit gaming of all sort and reformatted my computer.
I'll be spending much less time reading Gaming forum and perhaps more time reading useful things about life or anything else which i hope to get from Fleud.
My goal is to stop being addicted to games, which i found out, was rather useless when I grow up. (More of a form of entertainment, but that's kind of behind me now). So, I'm here to ask for advice or suggestion that will help me achieve this goal.
What I'm looking forward as a reply is not something like: " ohhh.... ", but some encouragement or advice like: " I think you should develop a habit of reading ", stuff like that.
If you are not serious and don't care about my situation. Please do NOT reply in this thread.
I'll be looking forward for your replies :) Thanks.
Reading sucks xD... Don't read... I only read when my teachers make me ...
I have a great idea... Find a cool TV-show like: King of Queens, Prison break, Heroes, 24 hours, Friends, I dunno, Lost mby? And then watch it... DL movies watch them, and FINALLY: BUY A SKATEBOARD & START SKATING - IT HURTS, BUT IT PWNS!
Hope I helped ya... And if you need help finding good parts for Skateboard, pm me

Make some good friends and go out a lot. The fresh air will do you good :P
Dog, get a better connection or move first XD
Else just focus on something IRL
Maybe you could try and learn an instrument?

Can't move! Haha. Still studying.
Focus on? My studies? I could, but it gets boring don't it? XD

I play Piano, Guitar, Drums. :D Thanks though. Yes, I think i need to spend more time practicing them though. I seldom practice.

I was in Red Cresent. But now in the new school, the management really sucks. I really hate it. I did play Squash and Badminton for leisure sometimes with my friends.

This is a mega-great community :3 :3
ya, i have recently started skating, i like it. But ya, maybe look into learning about video games or something, if it is something you like.
I would recommend trying to make some money :D That way atleast the time you spend don't doing school work you're being productive :P You could learn a computer language like html or something which could be useful later on in life or even now! Basically my recommendation is do something useful that could help you later. Thats why i cut down on games as i just thought, after all these hours i'm putting in what am i getting from it that will help me later. :)

O.O We don't have snow. Shucks. Can't find a skating rink either. Maybe perhaps in a few years.
Ah, I don't want to play games!

Thanks for the advice. Well, I did use Sharecash for a while. Been working with Marc ofc. But couldn't really do it that well^^ Even though i know almost all the methods from Marc (which i admit was pretty darn good).
We learn HTML in school, and i know a bit of it myself. I did learn a few from w3schools though, like PHP, Javascript but never really stick to it a lot. Maybe coding just isn't my thing? Well, I'm doing the C# tutorials by Wynthar now. Just trying out ;) Yea, that's why I'm trying to cut down some games and find something more useful^^

Yes. I was once in to money making, but now at my age, I don't really find the use of the money. That's why if you haven't notice, all i do most is helping people out to get what the one or what so ;)
What's ur age ?I forgot :) I think you are same age as me
But if you learn to make money earlier, then it's easier for you :D
It's not that you learn for money, you learn because you like it :D

edit: darn my avatar is too sexy for fleud 0o xD
If you want to think of your future, and do things which will help you later in life, you should try to focus a little more in internet marketing strategies. I know i'm talking a lot about it, but there are really great goals you can archieve with it. If you just want to get off the screen, i would advice you to get a girlfriend (if you don't have one) and spend some time with her :)
If you prefer my first suggestion, you can try to contribute as much as you can in the internet marketing boards here on fleud.
Good luck dog :)
hey dog
what I would recommend is if you have spare time (which you will when you aren't gaming) then go for a run or do some sort of exercise. It will make you feel a lot better. I used to play DotA 24/7.. I recently quit because my grades at school were failing! So my recommendation would be exercise and sharecash xD

Thanks though. I might get back to learn these Internet Marketing Strategies, or maybe just help out around in the forum.
I do have a girlfriend actually :) But I'm still kind of young and can't really go out with her much, schools etc.

Haha. Seems like everyone on this forum is into sharecash now ;P No doubt, it's a great way to earn money. I do swim on the weekends.
Thanks for your advice guys ;)

Dog_Keeper Just check this:-http://somethinuseful.blogspot.com/2009/01/be-positive.html
this is all about life...
Dog_Keeper.. Gaming isn't very hard to quit.. you just need to be motivated..
Are you still clean? Or have u been playing? What i do is i just stay on forums the whole time, this doesn't really give me a chance to play games.. Otherwise just do a lot of work, i mean like schoolwork, it will keep you busy.. and if you want money then obviously sharecash is the way... :)

Gaming can be really hard to quit. A friend of mine didn't stop playing WoW before his brain stressed out and he couldn't use his arm and couldn't see for like 12 hours.

Ok that is an exception, the average gamer would have enough brain power to know when to take a break, your friend is obviously not very smart..

Nope he's not :]
But the point was, gaming can be serious and dangerous. And not always easy to quit.

It's not always easy yea. You need encouragement from friends and family too.

haha, that's good. So what are everything else?
Good luck and I hope that you never get addicted to gaming again.
well i like reading. . . its a habit i developed when i was 6 year old. but if u dont like reading theres really no point in it. btw addicted to games ? like a drug i mean do it work the same way cant u just cut it down and maybe play sometime ? (maybe soe single player cause online gaming is hard only to play a few hours a week if u weant to bee good :S)
but as reinn says, skateboard, or surfing on the net, or as anonyjoe says just try to get a little more out in the REAL world have fun, if u have fun with what u are doing you wont think of video games or other stuff . . .
hope i helped a little or gave u some idea's :) ?
