    Default PR Storm ~ a Back-Linking Utility

    Intro:
    PR Storm is program designed to boost a websites PageRank. It is fairly old but still shows good results.

    What is PR Storm? Basically it’s designed to do one thing and that is to send your URL to thousands of sites that publish stat logs, which in turn are crawled by search engines. Obviously bigger sites get millions of hits so actually getting indexed is a long shot. However, if used with restraint, this software can get you some pretty good back-links. The problem of course is abuse and massive spam campaigns that can get you penalized with Google, not to mention your ISP possibly targeting you as a spammer.

    Getting Started:

    - PR Storm
    - Domain Grabber
    - Proxy Site

    URL List:
    Before we start PR Storm we will need a list of sites to send our link to.
    Download DG and start it up. You should see this

    Make sure you check "Domains Only" in the bottom left corner.
    Now we have to add our search terms. I want to send my link to sites that have to do with Internet Marketing and Site Ranking. In the textbox at the top you will have to type --intext:"Internet Marketing" , intext:"created by awstats"-- without the -- ofc.

    Once you have done that choose how many links you want to show up. Click go & then wait.

    Once DG has finished harvesting links click "File" then "Export as text File". Locate the folder PR Storm is in and save the list as "urls.txt"

    Now that you have a URL list it is time to get a Proxy List

    Proxy List:
    If you don't have a fresh Proxy list bad things can happen (sandboxed from Google, banned from ISP, etc.)
    Luckily for you I am here to help you =) The first thing you have to do is create a new text file called "proxies.txt" in your PR Storm folder.

    Now that we have made the text file & opened it, it is time to get the proxies. go >>HERE<<

    If you scroll down a bit you should see a list of proxies. Select all of the proxies and copy them. Paste the copied proxies into "proxies.txt"

    Continue to go through the pages until you have a decent sized list. As you might have noticed there is a crap-load of stuff we don't want (Anonymity, Country, Last Checked)
    Getting rid of all the "crap" can take up to 5min. To do this start from the bottom of the list and start selecting & deleting all the excess stuff.

    All you should see now are proxies Save and then close out of notepad.

    PR Storm:
    If you thought preparing for PR Storm was long, then just wait

    Referrers:
    This is the single most important part of PR Storm.
    All you have to do is type in the URLs of the sites you want PR Storm to send to other sites.

    Just type in the URLs and press "Add Referrer"

    URL List:
    You know how we gathered URLs with DG earlier? Well, it wasn't for nothing.
    The only problem with DG is that when you "Export as text File" it adds some stuff you don't want :/

    File Created by SilverWolf's Google Grabber v 0.9.1
    Visit http://silverwolf.ath.cx for information

    Search Terms : sjfujsdpuirpot
    Search Date : 2009-05-17 14:27:57
    Total XXXX Returned ...
    Select the lines that contain those words & letters in PRStorm and delete them.
    You should be left with a list of URLs

    User Agents:
    Nothing needs to be done as long as it looks like this...

    Proxies:
    YOU NEED TO HAVE PROXIES OR YOUR ASS IS DEAD!
    Good thing I was here to save the day once again. You should already have a proxy list thanks to me.

    URL Harvester:
    Worthless...

    Settings:
    Settings are really really important. If you have screwed up settings you may not get any results.
    ~~~~~
    Hits Per URL: How many back-links you want per site
    Number of Threads: How many connections at a time
    Socket Timeout (both): If you are using proxies be sure to raise it a good amount (25 is good)
    Use Proxies: Check it
    Now all you have to do is press start and wait a very very very very very very very very very long time for it to finish.
    I hope you enjoyed my guide on PR Storm
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Risks:

    • Web Hosting Shutdown - If enough webmasters complain about your site referrer spamming to your hosting provider, there is a chance they will terminate your account and you will have to find a new place to host your website.
    • ISP Being Shutdown - This one can be debated, but people have claimed it has happened to them. If you use PRStorm without proxies then your IP address will show up for ever referral. Enough complaints to your ISP for referrer spamming and you could lose it.
    • Google Penalty - If you have a brand new site and run this program at max (a lot of threads, hundreds of thousands of sites to hit, hundreds of hits per url) you run the chance of being penalized or even banned by Google for to many backlinks in such a short time frame.
    The chance of any of these things to happen is slim to none IF you use the correct precautions.

    Nice, but you should also add that this can get your domain banned if not used correctly, I advise doing it on a test domain

    Good guide, +rep.

    Just don't abuse it to stupid amounts and get your own domain list and you'll be fine.
