First off you'll need to write a unique article with a high keyword density in a microsoft word document, the more unique your article is, the better this works out, so please don't try and save yourself time by spinning the article, because the chances are? It won't work out very well for you and it would just waste your time.

I suggest you use google trends to get some keywords for your article, try to use as many as you can and as often as you can, obviously keep the article looking net, tidy, smart, readable etc, but at the same time, remember the keywords are useful whenever possible!

Within the document, push a link to whatever your trying to promote, obviously this is for ranking in Google, so your website/blog would be a good place to start, although affiliate products would also work, you could maybe even try out promoting CPA offers, but I'm unsure on how that would turn out.

Once your article is finished, go to www.scribd.com and upload your newly made document, add tags, description etc so you have a high findability score, if you don't understand this, you will when your uploading, this is quite a important part, remember to keep a high findability rating.

Once you've uploaded the link, time to start promoting your link via social bookmarking websites, Digg.com / Reddit.com work well, I'm just assuming the more you bookmark the article, the better results you'll get.

You tend to rank higher within 15-60 minutes and this doesn't even take that long to do, you can do all of this and rank higher within a hour to two hours, the second hour simply waiting to rank higher within Google.

I keep forgetting, perhaps it would be a good idea to install a automatic tagging plugin for vBulletin?
