First of all, YAY my suggestion got put up
Second of all, post recommendations of Books in here.
I myself would like to recommend House Of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski. If you like mindfunks (requesting f*ck wordfilter to funk) then this is the book for you. Its just odd (some pages just have a few words, others have braille, etc), but hauntingly gripping. I couldn't put the book down.
In my opinion, it is an AMAZING debut novel.

To Kill a Mockingbird. Or the Outsiders/That was then, this is now.
Didn't read the entire thread so not sure if you're looking for specific types of books. But I really liked Robert Kiyosaki - Rich Dad Poor Dad's series and the Wheel of Time and Sword of Truth, and my fav all time series is probably Raymond E. Feist - Magician and the sequels. I also loved the Blue Adept series.

I would recommend, Tuesday with Morrie by Mitch Albom, who is also the author or the " The Five People You Meet in Heaven ".
Or Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by JK Rowling

Personally I think that Harry Potter books are actually quite well written.
I would have to agree with that recommendation![]()
Yeap. Tuesday with Morrie is quite a sad story but a lot of teachings. I'm doing it for literature at school now.
I think all Harry Potter books are great. Rowling uses an amazing plot for the story. She is also known as one of the best descriptive writers ever. " New generation of Roald Dalf "
A very motivating book:Gifted Hands
It's very cool and motivating.
Never readed Harry potter![]()
Took me 6 days to read the first Harry Potter book, lol.
been reading Harry Potter 1-4, and 80% of the 5th one. Took a break, and forgot everything. I don't really read anymore, apart from articles on the internet.
I See Dead People
I really suggest all to read all the Harry Potter, they are well written and well worth it
I am waiting for the third Eragon book to come out in Norwegian, since the two first ones was awsomeALot better than the movie
(ofc that depends on the person that reads/sees it) but I strongly suggest you to atleast take time to read the first book ^^ It isnt an old story and many teachers havent heard about it before, so I also recommend to make projects about it cuz I catched my teachers attention with it and got top grades :] (she had to read the book herself after)
All the orginal Narnia books are also great, they seems a bit more childish but if you bring them some attention you will see that they arent that different from the lord of the ring ^.-
The lord of the ring...... damn long book. (all in one) but worth it
The books about Thomas Covenant written by Stephen R. Donaldson.
(brb gotta eat will add more later)
The books of Harry Potter is 10x better than the movies for sure. I kinda regret i gave up reading the last books, but i don't really bother doing it now
I See Dead People
I'd advise the best fantasy book ever written (imho, exept lotr of course ^^) Jonathan strange & Mr norrel by Suzannah Clarke.
Interesting book titles Leriath. I have not heard of them. Might have to check them out. I am a LOTR fan as well.
